Now offering EMDR Intensive Sessions!

Sometimes in life you may face a difficult time or challenge, a season of change or transition, and you may need some additional support to manage through it.

As your provider, I am here to support you through  your journey as either your licensed professional mental health provider or your trauma informed yoga instructor.  I am an ally of the  LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent affirming, and embrace diversity to its fullest.

About Me

I am many things, including a cisgender female, a friend, a mother, a coffee lover, a bad reality TV but then needs to balance it with going outside walker, I love getting lost in a good book and dancing in my house with my kids when nothing and everything is going right and wrong all at the same time.

I share all of this with you to show you that I am human and you will get that human connection experience with me.

I started this practice out of true compassion and passion for supporting and empowering clients to be able to face adversity in no matter what season of life they are currently in and have weathered.

*Please note, that you can only see me as a provider for either counseling or yoga and meditation. I can happily refer you to a range of additional providers who are ready and are able to support and guide you.

Counseling Services

team

I am passionate about supporting clients, especially women  at all seasons of life as they navigate life’s unique challenges.

I  offer compassionate and specialized therapy, with a focus on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I provide a safe and affirming space where clients can heal from past traumas, explore their identities, and ground in utilizing their inner strengths and soar with their resilience.

Click here to message me to learn more.

At Colors of Seasons LLC, I will always get your consent about treatment and will provide you with the tools and information about the technique(s) so you can feel empowered and in partnership with the therapeutic process.   I understand the importance of addressing these intersecting identities with sensitivity, empathy, and cultural competence.

When addressing the unique mental health needs of women across the lifespan, I understand the complexities of women's experiences, including trauma, relationship issues, reproductive health concerns, and the various roles and pressures women often face. I understand that individuals often face unique mental health challenges stemming from societal norms, discrimination, and systemic oppression.

Counseling Perspectives & Types of Therapy offered:

EMDR Therapy: This evidence-based approach is utilized to help process and heal from past traumas, negative beliefs, and distressing experiences. EMDR can be particularly effective in addressing issues such as childhood trauma, birth trauma, and reproductive loss. It can also be helpful to support individuals who have experienced trauma related to gender identity, sexuality, discrimination, or other life experiences. EMDR incorporates bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, to facilitate the brain's natural healing process. Click here for a handout of how EMDR effects the brain.

Now offering 90 minute and 120 minute EMDR intensive sessions to help  further the EMDR process for self-pay clients!  Benefits of EMDR intensives include:  accelerating processing rate of inital target, not having the fear of ending during an "aha moment",  deepend emotional processing, enhanced coping strategies and increased therapeutic  momentum leading to less sessions and potential less expense in the long run.

The Art of Holding for Perinatal Clients- I am specifically trained in the  advanced perintal traing of the "Art of Holding Perinatal in Disress".  This is a specialized approach developed by Karen Kleinman, to support women navigating emotional and psychological challenges during the perinatal period. This method focuses on compassionate listening, empathy, and providing a safe space for healing and growth.

Intersectional Lens: It is important to consider the multiple layers of identity and privilege that shape each client's experiences. I recognize the importance of addressing the unique challenges faced by women and LGBTQIA+ individuals and tailor therapy to meet their specific needs.

Affirming and Inclusive Environment: I provide a welcoming and affirming space where women and LGBTQIA+ individuals feel seen, heard, and respected. Each client's unique identity and experience is honored, creating a space that fosters exploration and growth.
